10 Jan. – – La Salle senior and Stanford University-bound DJ Principe continues to hold the nation’s No. 1 spot in the boys’ prep mile. Principe’s 4:04.47 clocking at a 31 Dec. all-comers’ meet on the Boston University track also stands as a New England record.
In addition, the La Salle boys’ distance medley relay is also currently the U.S. best, with a winning time of 10:27.45 clocked at last weekend’s Dartmouth Relays. Principe anchored a foursome that included freshman Max Dimuccio, sophomore Joe dos Reis and junior Tyler Lamonte, resulting in the Rams’ team win over Hendricken.
