R.I. Track & Field Foundation
DATELINE – – In the final of three cross country polls conducted this season by the R.I. Track & Field Foundation, La Salle teams topped both surveys for the third time. Both girls’ and boys’ squads garnered first-place ballots of all participating coaches. The Ram boys’ team collected 160 points and all 16 first-place ballots. Ponaganset moved to No. 8 spot, after not making the top 10 in the Oct. 10 poll.
La Salle girls (also with 16 first-place votes) finished 160-135 over second-place South Kingstown. Portsmouth moved up two positions; from No. 6 to No. 4.
