25 June – – Barrington’s Bobby Colantonio broke his own state record with the 6-kilogram (13-pound) hammer on Friday at the USTAF Junior Championships in Clovis, Calif. Colantonio won the event with a throw of 243 feet, 2 inches (74.12 meters). His former Eagle teammate Adam Kelly finished second with a mark of 239-6 (72.99).
Colantonio’s former record with the 6-kilo ball was 240-6 (73.30), set this April at the International Hammer Competition in Providence.
