NOTE: CORRECTED VERSION. Defending state boys’ and girls’ team titlists La Salle received the top number of votes inthe first of three indoor track coaches polls conducted by R.I. Track & Field Foundation. The Rams outpointed second-place North Kingstown, 116-108, in the girls’ coaches voting. No. 3 Portsmouth garnered 64 points. (The Patriots were mistakenly left off the earlier version.)
In boys’ team voting, La Salle was 112-108 over Hendricken. Central was third (85), with three first-place ballots. North Kingstown was next (72).
The next poll will be conducted Jan. 24.
