R.I. Track & Field Foundation
18 May – – La Salle again topped both coaches polls, as conducted by R.I. Track & Field Foundation. The Ram girls’ squad outpointed second-place North Kingstown, 108-97, while in the survey of boys’ coaches, it was La Salle, 112-106, over Hendricken. In the girls’ poll, defending state team champs Smithfield moved from sixth to fifth spot. The West Warwick boys’ team – ranked eighth in the previous poll – moved up to the No. 6 position.
The final spring track poll will be conducted prior to the June 4 State Championship.
