26 Oct. – – Hendricken and East Greenwich won the boys’ and girls’ Freshman State team titles on Monday at Goddard Park. The Hawks accounted for 36 points, to 88 for second-place La Salle. In the girls’ team tally, the Avengers topped the Rams, 44-55.
North Kingstown’s Lily Nunnery clocked a winning 15:16 over 4 kilometers. Nunnery was 32 seconds in front of the Avengers’ Kalie Bremer, who came in second at 15:48. The Skippers mined gold in the boys’ event, too, as Sam Toolin continued his winning ways. He went 12:39 to handily gain the victory.
