R.I. Track & Field Foundation
27 Jan. – – The second of three coaches polls conducted this season by the R.I. Track & Field Foundation has both La Salle teams as top vote-getters. In the girls’ team voting, the Rams grabbed 11 first-place votes and 109 points. In a tight finish for the second spot were North Kingstown and Cumberland; 88 and 85 respectively. Toll Gate, which did not make the balloting last month, this month finished at No. 5. In the boys’ voting, La Salle swept the balloting with 110 points. Hendricken took the second spot (93) and the Skippers next with 80.
The final poll will be conducted on Feb. 16 in advance of the Feb. 20 State Indoor Championship.
